I have a pair of Astro A40s with the mix amp, and I think it honestly might sound better than it tbh. The audio quality is actually solid as hell. I just bought it from Best Buy the other day to try it out for the 15 day window return policy.
But that would be different if they were at the standard price. Given the price drop putting them in line with this I think the Xbox Wireless is not a great deal. I have tested these and they all seem to be better than the Xbox Wireless headset.

Razer Kaira Pro Wireless $99.99 on Amazon right now. Really could be the issue.Įither way, the headset is showing for me online at $99 and there are better headsets on sale right now that give better sound.

Seems to be because it has been set to connect to Xbox and then PC and phone bluetooth. And my young son using it on his Xbox has had it just disconnect as well. Like it is losing the connection and automatically powering down. I used it today on PC and it just went off 3 times randomly. Honestly, I would be fine with the Xbox headset if not for the connection issues I get. Another son of mine has the LucidSound L15X and says it has been great.
The HyperX Cloud Flight also has been doing well. One of my sons picked up a Razer Kaira Pro Wireless which has gave him zero issues. So minimal use and he takes great care of his stuff.

That one cracked on the person he sold it too. Some Pro, but I forget, that the headset cracked along where the ear cups connect. Third time it was the gen 2 which ended up being exchanged for a different headset. They exchanged and for $10 sold another warranty. My sons 600 had connectivity issues and he had a Game Stop warranty. But I do not like Turtle Beach at all at this point. Non-gameplay screenshots (pictures of text) are disallowed entirely.
